Recently, Glorious Property Holdings Limited raised fund for Oxfam projects in Mainland China by sponsoring HKD 100,000 to the “Oxfam Rice Sale”organized by Oxfam Hong Kong and arranging volunteer team to participate this activity, showing our solid support to this charitable event.

  3 May, Glorious Property Holdings Limited was invited as the sponsor to attend the opening ceremony which was held at the Hong Kong headquarters of Oxfam. Mr. Michael Jiang, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President; Mr. Bernard Chan, Vice Chairman of the Oxfam Hong Kong together with all the other sponsors officiated the opening ceremony, writing an introduction for this activity. In addition, sponsors were awarded certificate of appreciation at the ceremony.

  Company staff and their family members formed a volunteer team to help selling Oxfam rice packs at Percival Street of Causeway Bay and at Peking Road of Tsim Sha Tsui on 12 May and 20 May respectively.Volunteers were divided into groups of two people and each group was allocated a donation box and Oxfam rice packs to raise money devotedly on streets. Response from passerby was enthusiastic. Besides, fund raising campaign was launched inside company to call on support from colleagues and was well received by them.

  The successful finish of this activity relies on the active participation and support from company staff and their family members. Our company has raised a considerable amount for Oxfam to assist their implementation of various development projects for poverty alleviation in Mainland China. Glorious Property helps the needy in the society via different ways throughout the years and will continue to fulfill our social responsibility as a corporate citizen.

  Oxfam is a global charitable organisation which has set up a branch office in Hong Kong, aimingto eliminate poverty and poverty-related inequities. The fund for Oxfam projects in Mainland China was established in 1992 and is used to subsidize projects in poverty alleviation and emergency relief. “Oxfam Rice Sale” is one of the major source of income for the fund. The raised amount will be used on education, training, provision of basic facilities, public education and holding of various kinds of activities at cities and rural areas, in order to support more poor people and social vulnerable groups in improving their lives.
